What Is The Minimum Hours To Be Volunteer In An Animal Shelter In Florida

Volunteers contributed over 100,000 hours of service last year; in add-on to exercising, socializing and providing enrichment activities for our dogs and cats, our volunteers help support our animals by fostering underage puppies and kittens in their homes, profitable in special events, educate the community, deliver pet food, help in the clinic, and help with offsite adoptions.

How to Get a Volunteer

• View the Volunteer Positions beneath.
• Sign up for a preparation at our Sanford shelter.
• Commit to half dozen hours a month for at to the lowest degree half dozen months.
• Pay $25 for the volunteer t-shirt, nametag, and insurance.

Daily enrichment, socialization, exercise and intendance of the shelter dogs

Daily enrichment, socialization, exercise and care of the shelter cats

Provides a temporary habitation to potentially adoptable animal(south) including those that are underage, underweight, injured, sick or in need of socialization.

Assistance with Community Cat Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, and Return (TNVR) efforts to assist reduce cat over populations in Central Florida.

Dogs are available to be checked out for small excursions. Must be trained as a Bark Buddy to participate.

Youth Volunteer Opportunities

• Students 13-15 years old can volunteer with the Cat Condo Care team and MUST be with their parent or legal guardian at all times.

• Both the student and parent/guardian must attend grooming and volunteer for every shift together.

• Parents must also have a login, and pay the $25 fee for the t-shirt and insurance when volunteering with their 13 – 15 year old.

• Students nether the age of xiii or those under eighteen who are unable to commit to our requirements can complete a donation drive in commutation for community service.

Grouping Volunteer Opportunities

• Open to business and borough groups that would like to practice an onsite volunteer project at Pet Brotherhood of Greater Orlando.

• Groups are asked to provide all supplies for the volunteer project if it is a grounds beautification or enrichment activeness.

• Appointment of group volunteer activity is subject area to approval past Pet Brotherhood staff.
